Connecting Research, Industry, and Innovation in Novi Sad

The Horizons of Innovation Forum 2025 was held on 2 December 2025 in Novi Sad, Serbia, bringing together a diverse community of researchers, companies, startups, and innovation support organisations. The event was designed to foster dialogue and co-creation across sectors and disciplines, creating a collaborative environment for shaping new ideas and advancing impactful innovation.

A Platform for Co-Creation and Knowledge Exchange

The Forum featured a rich programme of interactive sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at connecting key actors from different industries and research fields. Participants engaged in exchanges of knowledge and best practices, with a focus on accelerating innovation-driven initiatives and strengthening research–industry collaboration.

UDENE Presented in B2B, R2B, and R2R Meetings

The UDENE project was represented at the Forum by InoSens and BioSens, who introduced the project’s objectives, tools, and potential applications to a broad audience of innovators and researchers.

During the event, the UDENE project was introduced in a series of business-to-business (B2B), research-to-business (R2B), and research-to-research (R2R) meetings. These sessions enabled meaningful discussions with stakeholders interested in Earth observation, urban resilience, and data-driven innovation. The project’s tools and objectives were presented, opening opportunities for future cooperation and uptake.

Innovating Together

The Horizons of Innovation Forum 2025 offered a unique opportunity for participants to broaden their perspectives—whether developing new technologies, supporting innovation-driven entrepreneurship, or exploring collaborative research prospects. The event reaffirmed the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving sustainable and impactful innovation.

UDENE PROJECT

The UDENE Project aims to use large amounts of Earth Observation (EO) data from Copernicus satellites and local sources to support evidence-based decision making for urban development, especially in international partner countries. To support the UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 of making cities safe, resilient, and sustainable, the project will essentially create a virtual laboratory for urban planners and visionaries to test their development ideas.
