UDENE Open Call 1 Deadline Extended to 31 August 2025
The UDENE project is pleased to announce that the deadline for Open Call 1 – UDENE Tools Integration in Geodata Science Education has been extended to 31 August 2025. This call provides an exciting opportunity for educators, trainers, and geodata professionals in Serbia, Tunisia, and Türkiye to receive funding for innovative educational initiatives.
About the Open Call
UDENE Open Call 1 invites proposals that integrate UDENE Exploration and Matchmaking Tools into geodata science education. Selected applicants will receive €10,000 to design and implement educational plans that enable students and trainees to learn applied geodata science through hands-on experiences.
Proposals should aim to:
- Embed UDENE tools into course curricula or training modules
- Demonstrate practical use of Earth Observation (EO) data and Copernicus services
- Develop case studies that address urban challenges, such as:
- Urban heat islands
- Air quality and transport
- Earthquake resilience
Purpose of the Call
The call supports the development of skilled geodata science practitioners in Copernicus International Partner countries. By using UDENE’s open-source tools as a practice platform, applicants will help build practical knowledge and strengthen the application of EO data in urban planning and resilience.
