Posted on 01/08/2026

A UDENE-related conference paper has been accepted for publication in the International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences (ISPRS Archives).

The paper, entitled “Harnessing EO and Natural Experiments for Urban Development: The UDENE Approach”, was presented at the GeoVisions2025 conference, held on 8–10 October 2025 in Çanakkale, Türkiye. The publication will appear in the GeoVisions2025 volume of the ISPRS Archives.

The paper will be indexed in several international scientific databases, including the Web of Science (Conference Proceedings Citation Index – CPCI), SCOPUS, Ei Compendex, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

This publication contributes to the collection of scientific outputs developed within the UDENE project and shared with the wider Earth observation and urban development research community.

UDENE PROJECT

The UDENE Project aims to use large amounts of Earth Observation (EO) data from Copernicus satellites and local sources to support evidence-based decision making for urban development, especially in international partner countries. To support the UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 of making cities safe, resilient, and sustainable, the project will essentially create a virtual laboratory for urban planners and visionaries to test their development ideas.
